In support of the Government of Zimbabwe, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has embarked on the implementation of a five-year Country Programme Document (CPD) 2016-2020.
UNDP focuses on areas that have a multiplier effect through a targeted build-up of capacities, policies, the creation of dialogue space, and scalable downstream interventions. Proposed downstream interventions will seek to provide platforms for citizen engagement in democratic processes and facilitate access to skills, knowledge and new technologies for increased income generation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Objectives of the Assignment
The project seeks the services of a consultant to support the development of business plans; put in place management systems and train select community stakeholders to ensure the sustainability of the enterprises to be established,
The support will be extended to the following:
- Waste transfer stations (5 different enterprises across 5 local authorities);
- Biogas Plants (2 enterprises);
- Off-grid Box (4 enterprises); and
- Waste Incinerator / Asher (1 enterprise)

- Location: Harare, Bulawayo, Gwanda, Chipinge and Mutare, ZIMBABWE

Qualification:
- A Masters Degree in the fields of development, economics, entrepreneurship, business, and other related fields,
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in business development and financial economics. Experience in the areas of youth employment; enterprise development – track record with the preparation of bankable business plans,
- Practical experience in establish and running a green enterprise will be an added advantage,
- Demonstrate experience in stakeholder engagements and conducting training workshops,
- Experience of working/conducting similar assignments for private sector, UN agency, government or international aid agency projects will be an added advantage,
- 3 references from previous similar projects,
- Knowledge of English is a requirement for this consultancy.
