Timeline and duration

The consultancy will run for the period from July 2022 to September 2022. The schedule below sets out deliverables an indicative dates. Deadline will be set in consultation with the consultant.

• Support the update and modifying of comprehensive CSE curricular for curriculum developers in line with the revised International Technical Guidance on Sexuality Education: July – August
• Adapt existing content of good CSE curricula materials and methodologies to local contexts and needs by considering use of country examples and sample material: July – August
• Support designing classroom activities in line with objectives and goals of the curriculum: July – August
• Provide technical support and peer review for curriculum development and post training and provide mentoring for the TOTs: July – August
• Provide guidance on developing standalone CSE programs and how to integrate CSE into various curricula subject: July – August
• Consolidate the training into a manual for training curriculum developers for ESA region: July – August
• Conduct a 3 day training with high level members of the Ministries of Education in ESA: July
• Use innovative and digital methods (e.g. Design Thinking) described in the general concept Note to execute the training: July
• Submit a final report of the training: August

Qualification:

• Advanced academic degree in a related field (education, development, public health and health education)
• Extensive professional knowledge and at least 10 years’ experience in the field of teacher training in Africa, comprehensive sexuality education; familiarity with curriculum development an asset.
• Demonstrated experience with training in the education sector, mentoring and peer review, excellent writing and communication skills.
