The PATH has published a job vacancy announcement on 11th May 2023 for qualified Ethiopians to fill in the vacant post of Health Management and Administration Advisor to be based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

PATH Job Vacancy 2023

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the health care facilities supported by the activity to improve clinical management and coordination, supervisory and administrative duties.
• Ensure health care facilities apply business principles to clinical practice.
• Work in building the capacity of health care facilities management in developing institutional management and data collection systems to define cost centers, ensure successful reimbursement and stimulate health facility revenue growth.
• Strengthen the implementation of public-private-mix (PPM) in health care facilities and private development firms.
• Provide hands-on capacity building training on leadership and management for health care facilities management teams.
• Support health facilities to develop strategic and operational costed plans, implementation of the plans and monitoring and evaluation.
• Work with the COP and other technical staff to ensure quality of workplan, and PMP deliverables.
• Work with COP and other project staff in executing committed activities and ensure the technical qualities on timely manner.
• Lead, and provide strategic direction in the implementation of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), health systems strengthening, fiscal and administrative management for cost effective delivery of quality RMNCAH- N services in pastoralist area of Ethiopia.
• Represent the project in different technical working groups, taskforces, conferences related to continuous quality improvement, health service management and administration.
• As a senior management team member, the Health Management and Administration Advisor will review strategic documents, workplans, and contribute to the design of the Learning monitoring and evaluation (LEM) plan.
• Other job-related roles and responsibilities as assigned by the line manager.

Qualification & Experience:

• Master of Business Administration (MBA) and/or master’s in health services/Hospital Administration (MHA). MPH and licensed clinical degree a plus.
• Five to ten year experience in operating health care facilities with clinical management and coordination, supervisory and administrative duties including experience in application of business principles to clinical practice, development of institutional management and data collection systems to define cost centers, ensure successful reimbursement and stimulate health facility revenue growth.
