Duties And Responsibilities:
The Consultant will work under the direct supervision of the ATPC trade and climate change focal point and the overall guidance of the Coordinator of ATPC and the Director of the Regional Integration and Trade Division. In order to achieve the above-mentioned objective, the Consultant will perform the following key tasks:
- Carry out a desk review on the status of green finance in Africa and existing green finance models
- Design and execute a green finance (online) survey with 20 investors across Africa (covering at least three different sectors)
- Organize a virtual government roundtable on green finance options
- Prepare the draft report on “Mobilising Affordable Green Finance in Africa” with oversight from ECA
- Finalise the report taking into account the feedback and suggestions provided.

Qualification:

Working on the African Continent, particularly with the African Union Commission (AUC), regional economic communities (RECs) and AU Member States, is desirable.
