Duties and Responsibilities: The following are the major duties and responsibilities for this assignment:
- Systematically assess the level of mainstreaming of gender statistics in the National Statistical Systems of African Countries and in its regular assessments, surveys and censuses.
- Identify the gaps, priority needs, and areas of technical support that need to be provided by the NSS to regularly and systematically improve the production, analysis and dissemination of gender statistics for data users
- Review the Global Strategy for gender mainstreaming in NSDS and adapt it for application on the African continent.
- Develop the African regional strategy and guidelines for gender mainstreaming in NSDS
- Present at an Expert Group Meeting the African regional strategy for validation.
- May perform other duties related the project as required by the Chief of the Section.

Qualification:
