Accountabilities:
- Support the WASH Coordinator in facilitating the process of establishing smooth and fulfilling work relationships with host government offices and their implementing arms.
- Lead the rapid and detail assessment Ensure high quality activity implementation timeline, detail procurement as well as spending plans prepared in the first month of the project period with the good engagement of the WASH staffs in Mekele, Axum and Adigrat field offices.
- Whenever required, the position holder well take the leadership in conducting rapid as well as detail assessments and prepare intervention activities, beneficiaries as well as sectors integration matrixes and follow their implementations with the field team on regular basis.
- Ensure a timely recruitments of WASH officers and assistants, volunteers, establish HDAs, , WASHcos , IDP WASH committees and ensure the timely startup of the WASH undertakings in the upcoming response in Tigray region( Mekele town as well as Southern, Eastern, central zones intervention woredas.
- Assist the WASH Coordinator and technically support the WASH officers and assistants in the design, implementation and oversight of all PHE and PHP undertakings of the overall WASH responses in the areas of his responsibility.
- Assist the WASH Coordinator in ensuring the programmatic integration of the WASH sector with the health, nutrition, and protections sectors of the FHI360 and other similar actors in the intervention areas.
- Ensure high quality, consistent and timely Indicator tracking reports, program narrative reports, clusters 4W and 5W reports are prepared and shared with all necessary detail information in agreed schedule.
- The Senor WASH officer/PHP is responsible for regular compilation and online reporting of the FHI360 WASH responses in close collaboration with the grant and communication team regular.
- Responsible to lead the WASH intervention at all levels and ensure the programmatic integration of the WASH sector with the health, nutrition, and protections sectors of the FHI360 and other similar actors in the intervention areas.
- Oversight of all WASH related construction undertakings in health facilities and one stope centers in different project areas in Tigray.
- Represent FHI 360 at various levels of coordination platforms including the regional WASH Cluster and its technical working groups. CCCM, IDP Camp review meetings and engagement with the partners whenever called up on.
- Ensure all relevant IEC/BCC materials with key messages including Leaflets, Posters, banners and other branding materials are designed and produced and disseminated timely.
- Responsible to ensure effective communications done in all IDP camps and host community intervention areas on beneficiary selection criteria’s, entitlement packages as well as complains handling arrangements by producing and posting at least two weeks before the actual delivery/distribution date with close collaboration and follow up with the WASH and MEAL sector focal points.
- Assist the WASH coordinator in tracking feedbacks received from the community through different channels like CFM, Weekly meeting as well as in any other forms and take immediate action to address those issues.

Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in public health, environmental or social studies or related fields.
Experience:
- 4+ years of relevant experience in public health, environmental or social studies or related fields in humanitarian response projects preferably in INGOs or community development areas.
- Hands on experience designing, implementing, and managing WASH programs with focus on behavior change and communication areas in public health promotion sub-sector in humanitarian settings.
- Experience in conducting deferent community-based research in public health, nutrition, WASH and behavior change and communication areas is an asset.
