Abt Associates Job Vacancy 2023

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Drive project and project-affiliated personnel to project sites and partner/stakeholder locations within and outside of the region for project activities, including official site visits.
• Engage in safe driving practices.
• Maintain up-to-date record-keeping systems for vehicle issues, including fuel, mileage, and trip logs.
• Observe all Abt Associates vehicle utilization policies and in-country traffic laws.
• Responsible for maintenance of project vehicle, keeping accurate records, and following a schedule of routine maintenance, cleaning, etc.
• Ensure readiness of vehicles for transport service by checking oil, water, fuel and other aspects prior to driving. Help arrange or make vehicles available for repairs and maintenance.
• Inform the Tigray Regional Team Director of any maintenance of other concerns regarding vehicles.
• Perform routine project administrative tasks such as receiving and delivering official project documents to and from USAID, government, and non-government organization offices.
• Perform general tasks such as collecting pro forma invoices, processing customs duty clearance/VAT exemptions, and making tax withholding payments.
• Regularly check post office boxes, collect and dispatch letters, parcels, and other correspondence.
• In general, perform any other tasks as designated by the site office director.
• Participate in conducting fixed asset inventory.
• Run errands to purchase basic cleaning and kitchen supplies (coffee cleaners, etc.) and other project-authorized items

Qualification & Experience:

• High School Diploma + Two years of relevant experience, or Associates Degree
• A valid Ethiopian 3rd Grade Driver’s License is required.
• A High School diploma is desirable.
• At least 1-year prior experience in commercial driving is required.
• Excellent driving record and experience in traveling throughout Addis Ababa and other key cities.
