General Responsibilities:
- Support the Community Nutrition team and the partners in the implementation of the Emergency Preparedness, Response and Recovery (EPRR) activities as agreed in the work plan (training, preparedness, response, and recovery planning in Community Nutrition offices, providing TA during the various phases of the EPRR work).
- Provide support to RHB to conduct situational assessment, identify regional needs and gaps on nutrition and partner mapping (Who is doing what, where, and when) to identify stakeholders for emergency nutrition preparedness, response & recovery activities.
- Provide continuous technical assistance on EPRR programming to Community Nutrition.
- Lead the planning, procurement, and distribution of goods and services in ECNA project supplemental fund in Tigray region.
- Prepare, review, and provide sign-off for Periodic reports as per donor and/or FHI 360 requirement.
- Engage on guideline, protocols, checklists, and relevant tools development and review for EPRP as required by RHB.
- Provide technical assistance and support at the regional level on the Community Nutrition EPRP activities.
- Provide technical guidance and support to Regional Health Bureau along with Emergency Nutrition Coordination Unit in developing and implementing robust nutrition coordination platforms.
- Review, assess, and evaluate the effectiveness of EPRR activities and recommend enhancements.
- Supports the project team to produce best practices and share the lessons learned from ERR activities implementation.
- Ensure the preparation of periodic quality nutrition report as required by donor or organization.
- Oversee and coordinate nutrition-related capacity-building training for health workers and community nutrition program staff on EPRR in the region.
- Lead Regional Joint Supportive supervisions and review meetings with the regional technical team on EPRR.
- Support the region on analyzing nutrition data, producing malnutrition trend report and share for internal use.
- Ensure the mainstreaming of gender and inclusion issues across the various activities.
- Represent FHI-360 in regional emergency nutrition cluster coordination unit with the Crisis Response H&N Coordinator.
- Work closely with national EPRR Advisor and share the regional update regularly.
- Provide required regional input on future supplemental project design and proposal development.
- Create strong collaboration with other USAID investments within the region for effective resource utilization, information sharing and synergy.
- Flexible to take additional assignments.

Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s Degree or its International Equivalent in Civil Society, Communication and Social Marketing, Economic Development, Education, the Environment, Gender, Health, Nutrition, Research, Technology and Youth or a Related Field.
- Master’s degree or its international equivalent in public health, nutrition, international development, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of related work experience, including managing and implementing Emergency, Preparedness, Response, and Recovery activities for USAID-funded programs, preferably in Ethiopia.
- At least eight years of relevant senior-level professional experience managing and implementing humanitarian programs in Ethiopia.
- At least 7-10 years of emergency preparedness, response, and recovery experience, with significant experience working in emergency settings in Ethiopia.
- Proven success in designing and implementing community-based emergency preparedness, response and recovery, and disaster risk reduction projects.
- Fluency in English is required and understanding of local context is a must.
