DRC Job Vacancy 2023
Overall purpose of the role: We are looking for an intern who will work at DRC East Africa & Great Lakes Regional Office in Nairobi. The intern will have the opportunity to enable DRC to work more effectively with operationalizing the Shelter & Settlements Sector, and specifically support the expand the network and implement the activities established within the sector.
Responsibilities:
- Editing InSite Sector page content and news articles: e.g. support with maintenance, editing and upload of information to DRC Insite pages and SharePoint
- Updating/posting/editing intranet Shelter & Settlements Sector content;
- Developing/maintaining Shelter & Settlements Sector mailing list;
- Support development and roll-out of webinars and e-learning modules;
- Support with developing / editing guidance and policy material for internal / external use in the sector;
- Mapping Shelter & Settlements sector staff & projects across DRC country operations;
Qualification & Experience:
- Be enlisted at a university for a relevant education (architecture. Engineer or international relations, international development or related field)
- Be fluent in both written and spoken English (fluency in French is an advantage)
- Have good analytical skills
- Have good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Be comfortable using Zoom, Teams and have decent IT skills
- Have the required permits to work and live in Kenya
