IGCP Kenya looking for “Procurement Assistant”.

IGCP was formed in 1991 to address the long-term conservation of the mountain gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei) and its regional afromontane forest habitat in the Virunga Bwindi Landscape. Our aim has been to work together as a single gorilla conservation program in order to expand and consolidate the successes of the Mountain Gorilla Project and other initiatives at a regional level.

IGCP Job Vacancy 2023
Scope and General purpose: Implement procurement policies, procedures, standards for the organization and coordination of the division’s procurement related operations, procedures and resources to facilitate effectiveness and efficiency.
Main Duties:
- Review procurement purchase orders for accuracy, completeness and clarity
- Placing orders for requisitions from different departments and other sister companies and sending out purchase orders to suppliers.
- Getting quotations from suppliers and comparing the quotations to get the best price for quality products.
- Ensure supplier due diligence by collecting all relevant documents from existing and new suppliers.
Qualification & Experience:
- A minimum of Bachelor Degree in procurement and supplies or supply chain management. Professional qualification in CPA or CIPS
- Membership of Kenya Institute of supplies management will be an added advantage
- Good Decision making and problem solving skills.
- Highly confidential
