OXFAM Job Vacancy 2023

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategy to increase income, impact, and influence with the Nordic Donors on behalf of Oxfam and our partners
  • Develop an engagement plan and annual workplan to deliver the Nordic funding strategy, specifically for each donor.
  • Set and monitor indicators of success for the strategy including fundraising targets based on affiliate projections
  • Ensure that the Nordic funding strategy (per donor) is in line with the Oxfam’s program ambition and is approved by the Associate Director of Institutional Funding.
  • Monitor and report progress against the funding strategy at regular intervals to ensure that Oxfam is optimising its strategic relationships with the Nordic Donors

Qualification & Experience:

  • High degree of self-awareness of strengths, weaknesses and impact on others.
  • Experience in fundraising for development and/or advocacy programming both at HQ and country level in an organization like Oxfam.
  • Demonstrated experience of raising significant funds from institutional donors including Sweden and Switzerland
  • Demonstrable experience of creating relationships and networks with institutional donors including SIDA and SDC
  • Proven experience of leading on an organisational funding strategy for a donor like Sweden or Switzerland
  • English language skills, as well as a language appropriate to the donor context in the location of the role (Swedish for Stockholm, German or French for Geneva, any of these for Nairobi)
