UNEP Job Vacancy 2023
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keeps abreast of developments in the field; performs benchmarking and proposes new acquisitions.
- Assists with the collection and analysis of data as well as preparation of data presentations and reports for information sharing, responding to queries, knowledge management, planning and decision making.
- Assists with visualizations and updating information material such as web pages or brochures.
- Provides guidance to new/junior staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification:
- An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in international law, environmental law or related fields is required.
- A first-level university degree in combination with two (2) additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics or data science programs is desirable.
Experience:
- A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in information systems analysis and programming, systems administration and maintenance is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to five (5) years for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher.
- Experience in software development and technical writing is required
- Work experience in mobile application development and cloud-based container platforms, Azure or AWS administration and DevOps is desirable.
Languages:
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is desirable.
