Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the overall supervision of the Head of the Programme Performance and Support Unit, the Consultant will be engaged in the following tasks and responsibilities for each deliverable are outlined below.
- Serve as technical focal point for UNEA Resolution 4/22 on Implementation and follow up of resolutions to help ensure its effective implementation.
- Develop timely, high quality analysis of six-monthly reporting of implementation of UNEA resolutions for SMT and CPR.
- Support UNEA Resolution Focal Points to help ensure timely and quality reporting in the UNEA Monitoring and Reporting Portal and client satisfaction with user experience. Support client follow-up and querying to designated reporting focal points of UNEP Secretariat staff.
- Regularly follow-up on UNEA monitoring and reporting portal improvements covering portal functionality, content and aesthetics and ensure its smooth operations.
Qualification & Experience:
- An advanced degree in social or economic studies, business administration, economics, finance, or a discipline with focus on results-based management; evaluation, monitoring and reporting, data science, data management, business administration, environmental science or a closely related field is required.
- Minimum 6 years with at least two years on data analysis and management is required.
- Ability to work independently and creatively with minimal supervision; ability to work under stress and tight deadlines; results – and client-oriented; teamwork; people skills; ability to work in an international and multicultural environment; willingness in continuous learning is required.
