Save the Children Job Vacancy 2024
Job Purpose: Save the Children in Nigeria is committed to responding to the humanitarian needs of communities in Nigeria and is seeking a Roving MEAL Officer who will be available to be deployed to provide MEAL support to Save the Children’s Humanitarian Response and provide MEAL oversight to the Country emergency programs.
Key Areas of Accountability:
- Develop robust MEAL plans, systems, processes, and tools for the project in line with SCI and donor requirements.
- Lead in conducting Rapid Needs Assessment & post distribution monitoring of emergency response.
- Take the lead in data collection efforts for the project, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Document data collection and analysis findings, contributing to comprehensive and informative reports.
- Ensure monthly updates to the SCI’s Project reporting Information Management & Evidence (PRIME) system, accurately reflecting response progress and achievements.
- Support in monitoring the implementation of the response, ensuring that activities are carried out according to standards and protocols.
Qualification & Experience:
- Minimum of BSc or equivalent qualification in relevant Sciences, Demography, Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Science or any related courses.
- At least 3 years of experience working in MEAL for Humanitarian organizations implementing Health & Nutrition, Child Protection, Health & Nutrition and/or Food Security & Livelihood programs.
- Experience in the use of analytical and visualization tools/software
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate technical issues effectively and persuasively.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
