UNMISS Job Vacancy 2023

Org. Setting and Reporting: This position is located in the Medical Services Section of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS). The Medical Assistant FS-4 will be based in Juba and reports to the Medical Officer, under the overall supervision of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO).

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

Registered Professional Nurse who is a graduate of either an accredited Baccalaureate Nursing Programme (University) or an accredited Diploma Programme is required.

Job – Specific Qualification:

Valid license to practice in home country is required.
Training in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (BLS/ACLS) is required.

Work Experience:

A minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible nursing experience is required.
Experience in Infections diseases management and Public health is required.
Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) and ability to operate ECG Machines, Glucometer is desirable.
Knowledge in handling electronic medical records is desirable.

Languages:

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, Fluency in oral and written English is required.
