UNMISS Job Vacancy 2023
Organizational Setting and Reporting: This position is based in the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS). It is located in the Office of the Chief Supply Chain Management Service. The Project Manager performs functions related to improving stock accuracy and project managing the implementation of the RFID project in the Mission. The individual will have accountability over improving accuracy within the Warehouses and driving processes and systems and strategically plan and work collaboratively to make impactful change. The role reports to the Administrative Officer, Office of the Chief Supply Chain Management.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualifications/special skills:
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in supply chain management, business administration/ management, administration, or related field. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Certification in project management is desirable.
- A minimum of eight years of progressively responsible experience at least three of the following areas: logistics, project management, material management, property and asset management, administration, information technology, contract management and information management is required.
- Experience in using SAP or similar ERP software is desirable.
- Experience in using applied analytics, business intelligence, information management to advance decisions, strategies and execution is desirable
- At least two-year experience and exposure in an international peacekeeping or field mission is required
Languages:
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required. Knowledge of a second UN language is an advantage.
