The United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) is a United Nations peacekeeping force in Abyei, which is contested between the Republic of Sudan and the Republic of South Sudan. UNISFA was approved on 27 June 2011 by the United Nations Security Council in United Nations Security Council Resolution 1990 after a flareup in the South Kordofan conflict earlier in June 2011.

UNISFA Job Vacancy 2024
Org. Setting and Reporting: This position is located in the Mission Support Centre of the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA), duty station Abyei. The incumbent will report directly to the Chief Operations and Resources Management or their designate.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in logistics, business administration, management, engineering, or related field. A first level university degree with a relevant combination of academic qualifications and experience in areas such as transport or logistics operations/management, supply chain management, etc. may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in land or air transport, logistics operations, in military, commercial or international organization or related area is required.
- Experience in developing and drafting mission support plans and logistics plans and policies is required.
- Experience in developing SOPs is desirable.
- Experience working in a peacekeeping operation in a post-conflict environment is required.
Languages:
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations. For this position, fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.
