UNMISS Job Vacancy 2023
Context: UNMISS Telephone unit is one of the mission critical operational units under FTS that is required to provide all Mission staff with desk Phones in Offices as well as in Mission Camp accommodations for internal, inter Mission, local and international PINCODE calls between UNMISS HQ and field locations, UNHQ, Private (Personnel) and other UN entities. Recently FTS/ Telephone unit moved all Mission desk phones from old legacy Telephony system (Aastra/Mitel) to IP based Cisco Unified Communication Platform. New Cisco Unified Communication platform that requires staff working on it to be highly trained and well versed with latest technology evolving around the world. The incumbent will be under the direct supervision of the Field Technology Section’s (FTS) Telephone Unit Supervisor in Juba and under the general guidance of the Chief Information Systems Officer (Operations).
Eligibility Criteria
Required education level:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics/ Telecommunications Engineering.
Required experience:
- 5 years of experience in Cisco unified Communication Manager (CUCM), Cisco unity connection (CUC), and instant messaging & presence (IM&P) v12.x, concept of routing protocols and network switches, complex network infrastructure design, unified communications system implementation and integration, QOS features for VOIP required.
- Excellent knowledge of current ICT protocols (MGCP/H323/SIP/SCCP) and applicable international principles/standards required.
- ITIL v3/v4 Foundation required.
- Prince2 Foundation required.
- Cisco CCNA Collaboration certifications in Voice required.
- Certification in CCNP/CCIE collaboration is desirable as an added advantage.
