IGCP was formed in 1991 to address the long-term conservation of the mountain gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei) and its regional afromontane forest habitat in the Virunga Bwindi Landscape. Our aim has been to work together as a single gorilla conservation program in order to expand and consolidate the successes of the Mountain Gorilla Project and other initiatives at a regional level.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Develop a robust pipeline of B2B engagements by conducting thorough research and analysis to identify new sales opportunities, partners, markets, influencers, and facilitators
Product knowledge & development: Leverage in-depth knowledge of the plastics manufacturing sector to understand client needs and market dynamics. Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in customer preferences
Client Relationship Management; Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the similar industry. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to set competitive pricing strategies
Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
Provide coaching and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Contract & pricing negotiations: Lead negotiations with clients on pricing, terms, and contract agreements. Contract negotiations. Draft and negotiate contract terms and non-disclosure agreements with relevant partners.
Manage all commercial partnerships through effective communication and being the main contact person.
Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities and potential clients.

Team Development

Recruit, onboard, and manage Business Development Associates
Establish clear operational structures within the department, defining roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities for all team members.
Support and develop capacities within the sales team and provide necessary support, tools to the team.
Develop departmental budgets and ensure adherence to allocated resources.
Set departmental KPIs, ensuring team alignment and ownership with progress updates provided on a weekly basis

Strong negotiation skills, particularly in contract management within the plastics sector.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends specific to the manufacturing industry.
