Our aim has been to work together as a single gorilla conservation program in order to expand and consolidate the successes of the Mountain Gorilla Project and other initiatives at a regional level.

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide Engineering Design for architectural systems
- Budget Construction Projects.
- Develop Contract Documents for Contractor bidding and execution.
- Set up contracts and project organization.
- Develop Contract Schedules in conjunction with users, design associates, and contractors.
- Oversee and manage project cost, quality, and schedule. Issue progress reports.
- Review, forward, and track submittals
- Initiate, prepare, review, track, and distribute RFI’s and Change Orders.
- Track and inspect material deliveries
- Attend project meetings and record meeting minutes
- Manage project close-out
- Communicate and enforce Safety and Health Management Program

Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent with at least 4-6 years of industry experience.
- Knowledge of computer software like Autocad and Office (including Microsoft Excel) and Critical Path Project Scheduling.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, spoken and written English, time management, organizational and basic accounting skills.
- Ability to interpret national building codes, design guidelines, and product literature, and create drawings and specifications.
- Ability to function dependably and effectively as part of a team, maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times, and understand and follow directions.
- Prior experience with organizations in growth mode.
- Flexible and willing to work in remote areas and perform tasks outside of the current scope to help the organization grow.
- Passionate about building with bio-based and natural materials like soil or managing projects involving Stabilized Soil blocks.
- A curious mindset, willing to implement, execute, and support new innovations with a goal to continuously improve the engineering of bio based/soil-based structures.
- Experience in executing strict policies and procedures to ensure staff are safe.
