Red Cross Society Job Vacancy 2023

Job Purpose:

  • The Program Officer Cash Transfer will be responsible for technical coordination and delivery of Uganda Red Cross Society Cash Unit commitments under the Pilot Programmatic Partnership project and National Society Programming. She/he will be responsible for coordinating with partners at Kampala level regarding multipurpose cash transfer activities as well as participate in monitoring, evaluation and reporting of the project activities. The Program Officer Cash Transfer will also ensure the coordination of cash transfer programming under the pillar of people on the move internally and across borders.

Position in Organization:

  • Title: Program Officer – Cash Transfer (Vacant position and buffer list recruitment pending funding)
  • Grade: UR 5
  • Reports: Project Manager
  • Location: TBC
  • Duration: One (1) year renewable (subject to annual funding)
  • Date: August 2023

Qualification:

  • Minimum Bachelors’ Degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, or Economics or a related field from a reputable organisation;
  • Post-Graduate qualification in Monitoring and Evaluation or Project Planning and Management will be an added advantage;
  • Training on Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA)
  • A CaLP Certificate will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in design and implementation of cash transfer programming in emergency or development contexts;
  • Proven experience in the management of multi-donor funded projects is an added advantage;
  • Experience in conducting surveys, assessments and post distribution monitoring exercises
