Job Purpose

  • Reporting to the MEAL Manager, you will implement WAU’s monitoring and evaluation activities such as data collection, data organizing and data sharing by working together with program field team and partners staff. your responsibilities will include the following principle elements of implementing program and project monitoring and evaluation plan, capacity building, learning, networking & coordination.
  • Your priority focus will be on the quality of program implementation in delivering sustainable and equitable WASH projects with communities, schools and health care facilities. The position will also work with local partner organizations and service providers in developing their capacity on M&E to deliver effective WASH and behaviour change programmes.

  • Reports to: Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning Manager

Qualification:

  • Bachelor degree or above preferably in Anthropology/ Statistics / Development Studies / Economics / Public Health / Any other relevant social science discipline. Possession of a Post graduate qualification in Monitoring and Evaluation is a MUST. Additional Master’s Degree in any development field is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 (Five) years demonstrated experience in planning, monitoring and evaluation with reputed organizations, preferably with INGOs, donor agencies or international organisations, is required.
  • Knowledge on both qualitative and quantitative research methods; study methodology, Tools for capturing knowledge and learnings, MEL tools and techniques, and application of computer software (MS Excel, SPSS, GIS, data visualization software) and monitoring devices is essential.
  • Excellent analysis and writing analytical quality report skill is crucial; Knowledge and use of Mobile data collection and visualization tools especially mWater, ODK, Kobo, SurveyCTO and PowerBi is required.
  • Good communication skills and experience to work with partners and donors; pro-activeness, positive attitude and professional integrity is required as well.
