Job Purpose
- To enable WFP to optimize its presence, role, and capabilities, in partnership, to advance gender equality and empower women. This is achieved by addressing the three objectives: Achieve equitable access to and control over food security and nutrition, Address the root causes of gender inequalities that affect food security and nutrition, and Advance the economic empowerment of women and girls in food security and nutrition.

Qualification:
- Advanced University Degree in one (or more) of the following disciplines: Social Sciences, International Development, Gender Studies, Law, Human Rights, Political Science or related, possibly with a strong research focus. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience can be considered in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- At least 4 years of relevant Professional work experience in a humanitarian organization part of which should include leadership of implementing gender, protection sensitive and inclusive humanitarian programmes in urban areas.
