The WFP has published a job vacancy announcement on 17th May 2023 for qualified Ethiopians to fill in the vacant post of Digital Media Officer to be based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Accountabilities: Under the direct supervision of the Head of Communications, the Digital Media Specialist will perform the following tasks:

• Coordinate the production of high-quality communication materials to support the communication strategy. When appropriate, directly produce the materials
• Support management of WFP’s social media platforms and content generation.
• Design communications products and support WFP units with content layout and production.
• Edit videos and digital media assets for deploying on WFP digital channels to drive messaging to specific audiences.
• support donor visibility through creation of digital media products targeting WFP key donors.
• Be a brand guardian and build capacity of WFP colleagues on tone, branding and communications
• Ensure successful production & distribution of required materials
• Support the communications unit with marketing advice and implementation of WFP communication goals beyond the application.

Position in Organization:

• JOB TITLE: Digital Media Officer
• CONTRACT TYPE: Service Contract Level 8
• UNIT/DIVISION: Communication
• DUTY STATION: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
• DURATION: 12 months with a possibility of extension.
• Deadline: 31st May 2023

Qualification & Experience:

• First or advanced university degree in Communication, Marketing, Sales, or other relevant fields.
• At least three to 1 years of progressively responsible experience in communications and marketing.
