Abt Associates Job Vacancy 2023
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Record all expenditures, income, and any other related transactions in the Abt site office’s financial tracking/recording program (currently Quick Book) after being reviewed by the Finance and Administration Manager.
- Prepare payment vouchers and corresponding checks/payments.
- Prepare periodic financial reports, as advised.
- Prepare monthly payroll and other regular payments with due consideration to deductions (for advances, loans, taxes, etc.).
- Monitor petty cash use/payments.
- Follow-up and settle government taxes and related outstanding issues in a timely manner.
- Assist the Finance and Administration Manager in ensuring the books of accounts are up-to-date and in order at all times, and readily available for reference and audit, when required.
- Adhere to USAID regulations, Abt Associates policies and procedures, and Ethiopian laws for all of the above.
- Establish a system to control office supplies usage and maintain a re-order level and a safe stack system.
- Assist with logistics and/or project events such as workshops and trainings.
- Prepares the monthly ROV in accordance with Abt Associates procedures and policies and forward for review.

Preferred Skills and Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, or other relevant field.
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in program accounting and bookkeeping.
- Computer literacy in MS Word and MS Excel, and knowledge of Quicken or similar accounting software is required (QuickBooks, Peachtree).
- USAID experience and knowledge of FARs and AIDARs is highly desirable.
- Experience in procurement and/or event planning is desirable.
- Self-starter who is able to perform independently is preferred.
- Proficiency in Amharic and English language is required.
