UNECA Job Vacancy 2024
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research content and draft messages for social media channels on ECA’s thematic areas, such as Climate Change, Regional Integration, Innovation and Infrastructure Development and Gender; UN Days and International Days.
- Translate content for dissemination to media and on ECA platforms, including social media platforms.
- Assist in developing digital assets for web and social media platforms, such as quote cards, GIFs, videos, etc.
- Proactively contribute suggestions and ideas that will add value to ECA’s communications and advocacy for major events and campaigns.
- Support coverage of events and draft press releases, advisories and short blogs for the ECA website and Intranet.
- Assist in media monitoring tasks and updating the media database.
- Assist with ECA’s internal communications related to the priorities of the Division of Administration.
- Assist in compiling analysis, data and information on ECA thematic activities.
- Contribute to content development of the new website; and writing related compelling stories;
- Participate in conferences, webinars and events organized by the ECA.
- Update the communications filing system.
- Perform any other duties as may be requested.

Internships do not require work experience.
Languages
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship. Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage. Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish are the official languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
