ILO Job Vacancy 2023

Description of Duties:

  • Support the Project Manager in the day-to day implementation of ILO’s activities under the project, including administrative and financial coordination with the PMU, the ILO Country Office in Abuja, the ECOWAS, and other stakeholders.
  • Review and analyse country specific development plans and priorities on labour migration and counter-trafficking issues and other relevant information and provide written analysis on the findings to the Project Manager.
  • Assist the Project Manager in ensuring the effective implementation of the project activities through timely provision of technical inputs, preparation of briefs, background information, timely and efficient delivery of outputs.
  • Contribute to the backstopping and monitoring of project activities and draft portions of periodic and ad-hoc reports on the status of programme planning and implementation.
  • Provide programming and administrative support to the project; prepare budget estimates and expenditure forecasts.

Qualification:

  • A first level university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in economics, management, social science or a related field complemented with demonstrated expertise in international migration.
  • An advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in business administration, economics, political science or other relevant discipline would be an advantage.

Experience:

  • Three years of relevant professional experience, including two years at the international level.
  • Indicate any other required knowledge and experience in a specific field.
  • Familiarity with ILO policies and procedures including experience working with officials of ministries of labour and/or education would be an advantage.
