Position Purpose
- Planning and design of internal and external strategies for communications and outreach
- Implementation of the CO publications strategy and plan
- Management of media relations
- Supervision of the design and maintenance of the UNDP web site, social media, intranet, CO web-based knowledge management system
- Supports the business development
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- An advanced (Master) degree in Media Relations, Journalism, Publishing, or a related field is required OR,
- A first-level university degree in Media Relations, Journalism, Publishing, or a related field with additional 2 years of relevant work experience in the field of journalism, communications, external relations, public affairs, public relations, or corporate communications may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years (with a master’s degree) OR 4 years (with a bachelor’s degree) of relevant working experience at the national or international level in public relations, multimedia communications, journalism, or advocacy is required technical knowledge of web design and digital infrastructure is required.
- Technical knowledge of web design and digital infrastructure, Knowledge of social media is an asset.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with the ability to produce photo, video, and infographic content with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Final Cut Pro, photography, and videography skills, including the usage of external audio/lighting, as well as post-production software is an asset.
- Experience in Planning and design of internal and external strategies for communication and outreach is an asset.
- Experience in the implementation of the Organizations publications strategy and plan is an asset.
- Experience in management of media relations is an asset.
- Supervision of the design and maintenance of the Organizations’ web site, social media, intranet, Organizations’ web-based knowledge management system is an asset.
- Experience in the Facilitation of knowledge building and management with a focus on innovation is an asset.
- Experience in supporting business development is an asset.
- Experience in Effective management of the Communication & Innovation Unit and supervision of the Communications team is an asset.
Languages:
- Proficiency in oral and written English Language is required
- Proficiency in oral and written Arabic Language is an asset
