IGCP South Africa looking for “Monitoring and Evaluation Associate”.

IGCP was formed in 1991 to address the long-term conservation of the mountain gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei) and its regional Afromontane Forest habitat in the Virunga Bwindi Landscape. Our aim has been to work together as a single gorilla conservation program in order to expand and consolidate the successes of the Mountain Gorilla Project and other initiatives at a regional level.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Contribute to development of project plans
- Develop M&E Plans for all projects
- Develop and review data collection tools
- Oversee data collection systems
- Monitoring, tracking and reporting for projects
- Support quality improvement initiatives
- Support funding proposal development
- Support compilation of annual reports
- Compile funder reports
- Develop guidelines and SOPs
- Any other duties, as assigned by the line manager, in line with the role.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification (Public Health, Informatics, Population Studies).
- Demonstrable empathy, compassion and an understanding of the cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds in the community
- SA citizen or valid work permit to work in South Africa
- Driver’s licence
- Own car
- Moderate travel (up to 40%) by land or air if required
- Willing to work overtime
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Interest in data management and analysis.
- Understanding of the usage of social media for non-profit organisations
- Ability to work individually and in a team and under pressure and a demonstrated willingness to learn new things.
