PATH Job Vacancy 2023
Responsibilities: The Senior Program Officer has the following primary responsibilities:
- Provide input and review to protocol and data collection tools.
- Support tailoring a Global Specialized Lactation support Curriculum to the Ethiopian context
- Collaborate with Human Centered Design (HCD) Experts to facilitate HCD workshops locally.
- Lead Trainer of Trainers on specialized lactation support
- Support the development of a quality improvement system.
- Provide mentorship and oversight of study implementation with clinical and research partners.
- Serve as technical point of contact for specialized lactation research in Ethiopia.
- Provide technical and tactical newborn nutrition expertise to the IMCHD team to inform project planning, implementation and evaluation.
- Contribute to proposal development for expansion of newborn nutrition programming in region.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement, regional learning sessions, and policy advancement.

Qualification & Experience:
- Masters degree or higher in public health, nutrition, or related field with a minimum of 5 years direct experience in child health program preferable in capacity building and research
- Minimum 5 years supporting research programs with mothers and newborns, in a clinical and/or community setting.
- Clinical training preferred.
- Experience providing mentorship and training to clinical staff.
- Experience working with admitted newborns and their mothers/families
