NRC Job Vacancy 2023
Job Description: This internship is designed to provide an opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain practical experience in media and communications in a professional setting. The intern will work closely with the department to support key regional communication initiatives and contribute to the overall advocacy strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Regional Media and Communications Adviser in the development of communication materials, including press releases, media packages, fact sheets and social media content
- Support country offices in the production and finalisation of communications products
- Produce content in line with NRC standards, branding, compliance
- Produce content for use by global fundraising
- Undergo in-house training in NRC’s branding and house style, digital asset systems, ethics, and other relevant areas
- Conduct research on key regional issues and compile reports for internal use
Qualification & Experience:
- Recently graduated from a degree program or training institution in communications, journalism, international relations or a related field
- Excellent English writing skills and attention to detail
- Sound photography and filming skills
- Knowledge of digital storytelling techniques
- Knowledge of and interest in regional humanitarian issues
- Experience in using social media for advocacy and outreach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (photo, audio and video editing, and design)
