UNMISS Job Vacancy 2023
Org. Setting and Reporting: This position is located in the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS). The Supply Officer will be based in Juba and will report to the Chief, Warehouse and Commodity Management Section. The Supply Officer shall manage the work of the Budget and Support Unit of the Section. The Warehouse and Commodity Management Section comprises the Fuel, Rations, General Supply and Budget Support Units.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, public administration, procurement, law or other relevant field. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, property management, project management or related area in an international environment is required.
- Experience in budget formulation, financial monitoring, budget management or other related area is required.
- Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is desirable.
- Experience in managing operational resources, planning, and supervising the work of a unit and managing personnel is desirable.
- Experience in preparation of written reports, presentations and briefing with financial content and analysis is desirable.
Languages:
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.
