UNFPA Job Vacancy 2023
Purpose of consultancy: UNFPA ESARO strongly promotes young professionals in the region to engage and mentor them in core SRHR interventions of UNFPA. The junior consultancy is required to give professional opportunities to young leaders and build their skills to transit to successful professional endeavours. This specific consultancy in UNFPA ESARO is looking for a Junior consultant to support the work related to 1) Youth and Adolescent participation and leadership 2) the UNFPA-UNICEF Global Programme on Child Marriage Phase II and 3) strengthen artificial intelligence programmes to provide strategic information regarding youth programming.
Eligibility Criteria
- At least a bachelor’s degree in the field of public health, development studies, SRHR and communications is required or
- At least four (4) years of relevant experience is required if the candidate holds a BA degree. In case a candidate holds a relevant Master’s degree, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
- Below the age of 35
- Prior experience in the East and Southern Africa region required
- Prior experience in leading/working with youth-led organizations/networks on SRHR is required
- Prior experience in the UN or supported by the UN as an intern, as a UNV or Africa Union volunteer is an asset
- Strong presentation, communication, and writing skills in English required; working knowledge of another UN official language is desirable.
