Duties and Responsibilities
Provide technical advice on the integration of a gender analysis in the work of the Commission on Human Rights in South Sudan.
Document gender-based human rights violations, including SGBV, for the Group of Human Rights Experts.
Provide strategic guidance and inputs to the drafting of reports from the Commission on human rights in South Sudan, ensuring that such documents reflect SGBV and other gender-based human rights violations and abuses, and integrate a gender perspective and use gender-sensitive language.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualifications/special skills:
- Advanced degree in international Law, gender studies, political science and related area
- Minimum 7 years in the field of human rights, political affairs and related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in gender related issues.
Languages:
- French and English are the official languages of the United Nations. For the post advertised, fluency in English is required.
