The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) is a global communion of national and regional Lutheran denominations headquartered in the Ecumenical Centre in Geneva, Switzerland. The federation was founded in the Swedish city of Lund in the aftermath of the Second World War in 1947 to coordinate the activities of the many differing Lutheran churches. Main Duties & Responsibilities:
WASH Programming/Implementation:
- Ensuring quality and integrity of implementation, including adherence to technical guidelines, administrative systems, and established deadlines.
- Day-to-day coordination to ensure timely implementation of activities under the program in relation to water, sanitation and hygiene promotion in the local context;
- Provide technical guidance in the designing, planning, management and implementation of the water and sanitation programme;
- Contributing to contingency planning for possible WASH emergency response if required;
- Contributing to the preparation of internal and external reports for the NGO and donors, including expenditure plans and situation reports

- Place of Assignment: LWF/DWS Kitgum, Pader & Agago.
- Reports To: WASH Officer
- Starting date: July
- Duration of Contract: 4 months

Qualification:
- Should have completed the final year of a Bachelor’s degree/Ordinary Diploma/Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering/Construction/Water Engineering/Environmental Engineering/Public Health engineering course from a university or technical institution that is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education during the past year.
- This opportunity is reserved for first-time female entrants to the field. This means that they do not have to have any experience in the sector.
- Should be interested in pursuing a career in the WASH sector in rural water supply and the O&M of rural water supply.
- Should have a completion certificate/testimonial showing they have completed their course
- Must be fluent in English, knowledge of any local language particular to area of operation is a plus.
