IGCP was formed in 1991 to address the long-term conservation of the mountain gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei) and its regional afromontane forest habitat in the Virunga Bwindi Landscape. Our aim has been to work together as a single gorilla conservation program in order to expand and consolidate the successes of the Mountain Gorilla Project and other initiatives at a regional level.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- The role entails executing end to end site selection, origin and acquisition of the organisations future data centres locations across Africa.
- The Site Selection & Development Manager will ensure that the potential sites identified meet all the company’s site selection criteria and will be responsible for creating and managing site due diligence and acquisition planning.
- The role also involves coordinating site due diligence and managing relationships with local consultants and business partners, planning, budgeting and providing regular internal reporting. This is an “On The Road” role, and the ideal candidate loves to be out there discovering and developing new sites
- Site Selection Research, collect and analyse market and site information to prepare and present site selection in cooperation with the company’s engineering and legal team Prepare short list of suitable site locations
- Create market and site reports, budgets, presentations, and correspondence to be used and presented for the internal review process
Qualification & Experience:
- 4-6 years of work experience in real estate, construction or project management
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Real Estate, Business Engineering, Construction, or related field Real estate valuation experience MRICS or equivalent would be beneficial
- Experience with local municipality functions, permitting processes, land development and property due diligence preferred Proven budgeting and planning skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once, to prioritize and manage time effectively
- Flexible with the ability to work independently
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills are essential Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally in Africa up to 3 weeks per month
